    I’ve liked the movie a lot. Although it’s quite heavy, it’s also REALLY funny and entertaining – without being cynical. (In European films that deal with such “heavy subjects” you’re often just depressed after having watched them.)
    This intro is so funny – and you understand, that BOTH are suffering and will be wounded and defeated after it. It’s like a “Leitmotiv”.

    I agree, this is a truly classic opening sequence. I usually cant stand Lovitz, but he’s absolutely perfect in this bit. You almost feel sorry for the poor schlub, but he gets the last bitter laugh at her expense. A+
