I wish something like this had aired in the US
If they really do make another one, I hope it’s high quality. Too many films these days just suck because they’re half-assed efforts.
if they make another gremlins, it should be puppets for the main shots, but using cg for the stuff that might have looked overly fake in the originals (ex. u can see the turntable on the floor when one is breakdancing in the first one) dont make em all cg, just use cg to do stuff that would look really fake with puppets (jumping, running, etc.)

When did this commercial air on TV?
It is nice for them to come out of retirement, but there is one inconsistancy, they are light sensitive, one of them was directly in a desk light and wasn’t affected.

Fat Comic Guys like you always end up screwing things up with their stupid observations. Us normal people can’t care less if it’s the original sculpt or not. Personally, I care about the quality, the creativity and the imagination put into this ad. I’m sick of watching movies in which everything is done with CG, and I think this is a close attempt to how things were in the eighties.
Don’t let it play on your mind too much mate. It’s only a fucking advert.

Make Gremlins 3. I’d f’ing go see it. And make sure they’re not CGI. Puppets, please…just can’t beat the real thing.
This is one of the coolest ads ever. But in my opinion if they made a 3rd film, they’d have to hire Joe Dante and let him make the movie, his way. (word is that WB is going to make Gremlins 3 but Dante got totally screwed out of the deal, according to him). Let’s hope they bring him back.
Do you always believe Wiki articles? Can’t you see they are not the original sculpt? Can’t you see the heads are way too big, the arms way too small, the mouths too monkey-like…? I know one of the consultants and puppeteers, and I can guarantee I’m right… this was a resculpt, hastily made just for the BT puppets. Anyway, what’s the point; just believe what you want, after all !
actually they ARE, check the wiki article about the ad and you’ll see it used THE blue prints from the originals and he built them to spec and if after that you cant see it then i cant help YOU

i would of thought the dragons (from dragons den) would of killed the gremlins

they actually are, they were just harder to see in the movie’s cause of the quality in 1984
