It’s fine with him that we stay in war for 100 years as long as no one gets harmed, injured, or killed? What does he think war is? A trip to the supermarket? People are always going to be harmed injured AND killed during war and there is nothing anyone can do to prevent that, other than just not going to war.

Very interesting argument, and very well presented. Especially since Obama seems to be adopting a strategy of hitting where McCain, according to this blog, is stronger, the economy. Granted if you take out that leg you have McCain clinging to Iraq, but its possible they are waiting to hit him where he is weak later on where it would do more damage. We will see.
The future is not in oil it’s in nanotechnology for solar energy. Plants use solar energy and it has supported all life for hundreds of millions of years. In less than five years solar energy will be more cost effective then oil and coal. Plus oil in the oceans and mountain is more expensive and would be long term inverstment.
Surely there are enough intelligent human beings in the U.S. who will recognize the dangers of putting McSenile close to the launch codes.
Yes, having bases in Germany and Japan is exactly like keeping bases in the Middle East, a region known for its stability and peacefulness. Everyone there is too busy with their good jobs and plentiful water supplies and functioning electricity to care if the US keeps military bases in their homeland. What we need is to make them even more desperate, so they will stop recruiting new suicidal terrorists.
